MARCH 24 - 26, 2017

I believe in guitar orchestras. They are vital to the guitar and its development as an vehicle to spread goodwill. Guitar orchestras have become a passion of mine as become the focus of my doctoral dissertation. It has also become an integral part of my career, where for past 7 years I have been director of the Boston Guitar Orchestra and for the past 2 have been director of the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society Orchestra. I have seen the positive effects that the ensemble has had on its members, from having shared learning experiences, to discovering inner strength, to making life long friendships.

All participants are encouraged to participate in the Festival Orchestra. Whether you are a beginner, or an advanced player, there is a part waiting for you. This year we are privileged to have the esteemed conductor/composer/performer, Miroslav Lončar at the helm.
